Current news and events of the Royal House of Aragon

During 2011 inter alia Investitures of the Military Order of the Collar were held in Catania, Wexford, Stockholm and Winchester Cathedral. Throughout February renowned organist Christopher Diebert MOC gave organ recitals in New Jersey for the benefit of the national breast cancer foundation.

EVENTS IN 2012

February – Catania

3rd February Knights and Dames of the Military Order of the Collar will participate in the public procession led by the Archbishop of Catania which culminates in the Offering of the Candles to St Agatha and a Te Deum in the Cathedral. Later that day in the Church of S Francesco di Assisi all’Immaculata there will be an Investiture Mass (celebrated we hope by Archbishop Sbarbaro) followed by a banquet in the Palazzo Biscari.

5^th February by invitation of the Archbishop of Catania the Government of the MOC will attend the Pontifical Mass in the Cathedral in honour of St Agatha on her Feast Day.

April – Venice

21^st April in the Church of Santa Maria in Nazareth will be celebrated an Investiture Mass to be followed by a banquet at the Hotel Principe

May – New York

There will be an Investiture Mass celebrated by HE Fr Guy Selvester in the Church of St Catherine of Siena in New York City. Exact date to be announced.

June – Stockholm

Ecc’mo Archbishop Sbarbaro will celebrate the Investiture Mass in the Church of S:t Johann, marking the 10^th anniversary of the Grand Priory of Terra Nordica, followed by a banquet in the Winter Garden of the Grand Hotel on the 1^st June.

October – London

An Investiture and Solemn Benediction will take place in the Church of St Alban the Martyr, Holborn, to be followed by a banquet.

November – Seville

An Investiture Mass will be held, our first in this city, followed by a banquet.
